12th birthday special: Pastry Papercraft!

-Since today (Oct. 2, 2011) is my
12th birthday, I thought of searching for
kawaii little pastry papercrafts that you
may use as gifts, decor, etc.
Here's what I found:
*Surprise Paper Cake*
-a papercraft I found in
the "woman's day website"
that you may decorate.

Materials:
❒1 piece of light cardboard
❒12 sheets of sturdy but foldable paper (construction paper is fine)
❒white glue or gluestick
❒scissors
❒straightedge
❒pencil
❒for decorating: lace, ribbon, buttons, stickers, cake decorations,
tissue paper and treats or small toys to fill slices
❒ribbon
Instructions:
1. Enlarge the pattern shown to 400 percent
(makes a 11" - diameter cake).
2. Make a template by guiding or tracing the
enlarged pattern (Click here for pattern)
onto a thin but sturdy piece of light cardboard.
Trim out.
3. Use template and pencil to trace one piece on
each sheet of paper. Trim out.
4. Use pencil & straightedge to lightly score
the fold lines (seen in diagram)
5. Create along each lines. It may be easier
to first fold with line to the outside, then
fold again to the inside, making a sharp crease.
6. Dab some glue on the back of Tab A
and attach to front of Edge B
7. Dab glue on back of Tab C and attach to \
front of Edge D
8. After glue dries, wrap a small
treat or toy in tissue paper ans insert into
open end.
9.Close end flaps and seal with a sticker
or small piece op tape.
10. Decorate slices as desired, then
assemble slices and tie ribbon around
cake.

how can I open it?
A: Just download Pepakura Viewer 3 (free),
It lets you open pdo. files. Plus, it let's helps you put
together all the parts ;).
